The SIG Areal is a former industrial site right by the Rhine Falls, today home to companies, coworking, a mini hotel, meeting rooms and events. Since May 2026 it has been running the SIG Areal App, the first implementation of day.guide.
All screens on this page are original captures from the live app.
Live since 18 May 2026.
Figures from real use.
01 / STARTING POINT
Tenants, staff, meeting guests, coworkers, hotel guests and tourists from the Rhine Falls, all on the same grounds with historic buildings, courtyards and several entrances. The website sigareal.ch informs people before the visit. On site, something was needed that sits in the visitor's hand: in their language, without an app store, maintained by the team that knows the site.

One guide for everyoneGuests from the Arab world, from Asia and from all over Europe. Signage can't handle that. A phone can.
Twelve languages liveCompanies and events shouldn't be maintained twice. The app syncs them with sigareal.ch and links back.

03 / MODULES IN USE
Nine of the ten modules are in use at the site, the tenth is prepared. For another site the selection would differ: an office building needs photo routes above all, a tourism region tours and routes.
Choose time and interests, receive a tour suggestion, set off with Google Maps. The most-used part of the app.

IN USEFROM IDEA TO TOUR SUGGESTION
A real example from the SIG Areal App: visitors choose “3h”, “History & culture” and “Food & drink”. From this, the TourGuide creates a suggestion with several stops.
The screenshots show the example output as actually generated. Suggestions and timings are for orientation; visitors check availability and opening hours with the respective provider.

06 / FIGURES FROM REAL USE
Since 18 May 2026 the app has counted visits, page views, time spent, areas used and languages chosen, without cookies and without IP addresses. The key insight: four out of ten visits don't run in German. Eleven of the twelve languages are chosen.
The most used are the TourGuide and the company finder, followed directly by places and the SIG Areal offers. Exactly the areas visitors need on site.
“First-time visitors used to ask at reception or call us. Today they scan the code at the entrance and are standing in front of the right door a few minutes later. And our guests from abroad read everything in their own language.”
THIS COULD BE YOUR SITE.
What runs at the SIG Areal, we build anew for your place: your design, your modules, your languages. Four sites per quarter, at a fixed price.
